How cool is this?

From left to right: Producer Bernie and his kick ass mustache, me and my bald dome, Sheamus the Oregon Lottery leprechaun, Suke. The little green man was promoting this. Kinda cool. Someone will win $1-million! Even cooler, he’s an actor and apparently played an Ewok in Star Wars.

Brandon Roy was back on Primetime Friday: AUDIO

broy2.jpg

Very few stars “get it” the way Roy does. He’s special. With his leadership, this team will eventually click on the defensive end. It most likely won’t be this season. It might not be next season. It may even take a tweak or two to the roster. But when it clicks…watch out. That’s when the Blazers become the Spurs of the West. It WILL happen.

Also on Friday’s show, actor Kevin James: AUDIO

Cool guy. It pays to befriend a guy like Adam Sandler I suppose.

Oh, my!

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

Per Tuesday’s Club 1080:

I particularly love the shimmy at the 1:38 mark. I wonder, does Feldman know how bad he is? If not, why wouldn’t someone in his inner circle fill him in? This video is old but to this day he’s still playing music gigs. Is this just a situation where he has the resources and therefore he’s allowed to continue to make himself look a fool? Fascinating.

“Universe stirring new way…”

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

That was the text message I received from my parents during today’s Inauguration ceremony. It read, “Universe stirring in new way. Seek it. Join it. Let it help shape you.” My reply: “Touche!” Today’s events were as inspiring as it gets. I certainly won’t forget and color me impressed yet again by Barry Obama’s ability to string together the perfect sets of words. We’ve been waiting for that one moment to signify the end of the bad and at least the beginning of the good and this was that moment in many peoples eyes. Whether that’s true or not is irrelevant. Public perception is such an overlooked piece of this unbelievably complex puzzle we’ve laid out, particularly overseas. Today public perception changed worldwide and that’s a wonderful thing. We also displayed a transition of power without one of the parties being blown up. Novel concept, I know. But most importantly, swearing in the nations first African-American President is monumental for a country of divide. Give yourself five minutes today and really sit back to think about it. Digest it. Soak it in. Then we can table the hype and roll up our sleeves. All of us.
